I mentioned that book, which I happen to own, in another thread: https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-discussion/we-really-need-378019.html (post #10). I haven't read it yet, I've been reading Nursing Against the Odds by Suzanne Gordon. I've been involved with the Center for Nursing Advocacy (now the Truth About Nursing) for about 3 years and really admire their efforts.

I read a review in Newsweek about a recently released book by Sandy and Harry Jacobs Summers called "Saving Lives: Why the Media's Portrayal of Nurses Puts us All at Risk."
The review can be found here: http://www.newsweek.com/id/187004
It sounds like a great book that describes what nurses really do instead of giving all the credit to physicians.
Has anyone had a chance to read it? What did you think?
