New & need advice

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and trying to start a new career, beginning with CNA certification w/possible quick hire position here in NC while I continue my degree work.

Question: Does anyone have any experience with the following link and this method of certification?

I have been burned before with an online college and their credits not being worth anything when transferring to another college. That was a $8000.00 mistake and almost a year of my time.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Specializes in Psych, Emergency.

Seems legit. I basically just did the same thing but had friends help me with what this course sounds like it does. I too did not want to sit in class for 5-6 weeks so I challenged the course and passed it on the 17th. I studied everything that I could and felt mostly prepared for it. I wasn't able to practice taking BP's very much but luckily I didn't have to perform that skill.

You can find a lot of information here, some of it this course seems to be charging for.

Any questions feel free to contact me.

Thanks dynoboy, Yes I have this information from Pearson Vue & have been looking over it. Luckily I have a friend who is an EMT that is coming today to guide me further.

Thanks to all of you and have a happy new year..!

Not sure what part of nc you are in but, alamance community college offers a one class/one semester course that will qualify you to be a cna. perhaps there are other comm. colleges in your area that offer the same.

Yes, thank you for a reply. I have started my application process with Randolph Comm. College (RCC) & I should be able to start in April I hope.

Thank all of you for advice & I will return the favors to another soon...
