New to Allnurses.com

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to Allnurses.com and thought I would join as my boyfriend for the past several years is probably tired of me talking non stop about nursing schools and the million different ways to go about pursuing my goals, etc.

I see LOTS of posts and discussions as they pertain to me and I just wanted to say that this site is amazing. With all the different options we have to get through nursing school and obtaining certificates, etc its nice to see I'm not the only one out there with these concerns.

I wish everyone the best of luck and I look forward to bouncing ideas and questions off of the many of you that are in my postion as well as all the experienced CNA's, LVN's, RN's.

I currently reside in L.A. County and I will be interviewing for an LVN school next week. Entrance exams already passed. Any advice on the interview? My ultimate goal is to become a CRNA and I know this seems like the long way to go. I'm going to be taking full time classes starting this fall whether it be at an LVN school or finishing my pre-req's to apply to the RN program. Many would say that becoming an LVN first can be a waste of time but on the other hand, waiting on a wait list for a couple of years could also cost me. What are your opinions, experiences, etc? I would like to work as an LVN while on the waitlist with a community college in my area.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
