I applied and interviewed, but did not get accepted into the Fall 2007. Does anyone know what the passing scores were for the NET Test? What was everyones NET Scores who got accepted into UT.
Thanks

I think you should aim for somewhere in the 90s (as in your overall percentile), but they look into more than just test scores.
What are your back up plans? Ever thought of going the paramedic to RN route? it takes longer but you will be a well trained member of the health care team holding dual licenses. It's a good backup plan in case nursing school doesn't work out also. Or maybe you could complete a paramedic course, then reapply to some BSN programs in a few years.
Did you apply to any other schools?
I only applied to UT for the fall 2007 semester and I will be reapplying to UT and a few other ones this summer. Paramedic has been on my mind and is my back up plan.

Don't give up. I had to apply twice and got in the second time around. Good luck!

Hey everyone!
I am applying to UT for spring of 2010 Bachelor program and I was wondering if ya'll think I should redo my NET test..I made a 71% composite (Math 83%, reading 58%) I did not like the reading! I just took the HESi a2 the other day and it was much easier and way more of a relaxed environment for me i made an 84, which isn't bad i think. Does anyone know what a good score would be to maybe get considered? They told me that the NET definitely does matter but there is no minimum requirement score.
Thanks!!

Hi Alyssa,
I haven taken the Net yet, but if you look for the post UT Houston Fall 2009 the students posted the net scores and from what I saw most of the composite scores were in the 80's for the ones who got in I think.....I heard the reading portion can be hard bc it is timed. I would retake it if I were you. So just look it up on here and go through the whole thing and the students talk about the whole process under the post its long but interesting lol
Thanks misspink86! Yea the reading was kind of tough because it was timed but they also said it's not made for u to finish all the problems so I wonder if they count the ones you got right out of what u did or all because I didn't do the last 5 and everyone around me didn't even get that far.. I'm not sure! Thanks and good luck on the NET! I scheduled to retake mine so hopefully I'll do better on the reading!
Thanks Alyssa, quick question are we allowed to use a calculator on the math portion?
Nope I didn't get to use a calculator!
