Hi everyone im new here. Im a new nurse starting my first job at a hospital. Im very nervous and very intimidated by the idea of working at a hospital but I could use the experience not to mention the skills. My problem is that im worried about how the nurses that work there are gonna be. Our teachers always told us "nurses eat their young" and while I am quiet and not as outgoing I am aggressive when it comes to the patients. Then (I know its stupid) but some people who I went to school with got hired there too and I don't even talk to them so I feel like im gonna be out of place, any advice on both issues, maybe from nurses that felt the same way? Thank you!

I'm starting a new job in two weeks as well. It's at a dermatology office. I'm an entry level LPN too. I am also very nervous. I got my license in '08, but have been a stay at home mom & haven't worked really. I'm excited to have a job, but am going to have to learn a lot. Fortunately the doctor who hired me said that the office is willing to train me. I'm still a nervous wreck too! You aren't alone! lol All we can do is our best... If you don't understand something, just ask! Good luck to us both...
