Nervous, Nervous, Nervous.....

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Why is it that i havent been nervous about any exams before not even the nursing pre-reqs...but yet this NET exam is so freaking me out! I mean I am a 4.0 student, im in Phi Theta Kappa, and in the Honors Program...I have taken the NET twice and can't pass the reading...I know it must be my nerves leading up to a lack of concentration. Ugh! How do I get past this? I am scheduled to take it Oct. 2nd...this is my last chance...so please give me any advice you can...also any practice websites would be nice...i already bought a book from ERI...

thanks...

I'm studying for the GRE, and the reading advice in the prep book I have says "do not read to try memorize the passage." This is one of the biggest mistakes people make.

Skim the passage. Write on your scratch paper the first and last sentence of each paragraph (or a few key phrases). Then...go to your questions. Your little "outline" you just made will help you find where you need to LOOK for the answers.

Also, be sure you are not using outside knowledge to answer the question. Use the answer that is IN the passage.

Just remember...the CORRECT answer is in there somewhere.

Good luck!:coollook:
