CSantos, Thanks for the reply! I already have taken the net and finally have passed..I'm so excited!! Last week on friday I finally submitted my nursing application, now i'm waiting for a response. I think what happened with the net was just nerves...but thanks again for the help. Goodluck with your classes in January!! Hopefully I start in the Summer but if not it will probably be the Fall.

I have been feeling the same way accept with the NET exam. I have taken the test 2 and have one more chance...now i couldn't figure out why i kept failing it i have straight A's in all my pre-reqs but i just couldn't pass it...I finally went to the nursing office to see if they could shed some light on the situation and they said it was simply test anxiety...they advised me to do some research on it so i did and found this book that i have been practicing and its really helped me "Taking the Anxiety out of Taking Tests" By Susan Johnson and I recently have been feeling better....I know you said you have done the deep breathing but this goes a little more in depth and explains why you could be having these feelings....So I guess in short what i am trying to say is I know what you are going through its really hard...But for me the book is a godsend..Keep your spirits up, and Goodluck... this is sooo true....hey you know what even for me this thread has made me feel better, its good to know that i'm not the only one in this struggle thanks everyone!! I have a quick question i am new to this site and i was wondering if there was a way to add people to like a list of friends..? I can totally relate i have had some serious hurdles in my life...and as a result i had to make a career change into nursing...after several yrs of college so I had to make up alot of work and now that i have finished my nursing pre-req's I can't seem to pass the NET exam (i know its my nerves) so yea...i know how frustrating it is I have one more chance to take it...and i'm trying to look at it in this way....I know that Nursing is what i was meant to do, I've had the struggles in my life for a reason, to show me what i am really meant to do...so there is a reason for everything....hang in there please! Why is it that i havent been nervous about any exams before not even the nursing pre-reqs...but yet this NET exam is so freaking me out! I mean I am a 4.0 student, im in Phi Theta Kappa, and in the Honors Program...I have taken the NET twice and can't pass the reading...I know it must be my nerves leading up to a lack of concentration. Ugh! How do I get past this? I am scheduled to take it Oct. 2nd...this is my last chance...so please give me any advice you can...also any practice websites would be nice...i already bought a book from ERI... thanks...

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if there were any Valencia CC pre-nursing students here? I'm having a hard time with the NET and I have one last chance to take it and need to really pass it. Anyone have any websites that i can go through or books that I can buy. The NET for VCC contains just math and reading and the reading is the one i'm having the problem with. HELP!!!
