Nerves..

I want to be a nurse! I love helping and caring for others. I like the fact that the nursing field offers so many opportunities to grow as well as so many different areas to work in. This may seem silly, but I just feel like I keep :nailbiting: psyching myself out. I feel like I should know so much about the field before I even start school (prerequisites & all). Then I tell myself "don't worry, that's what school is for. You'll learn everything you need to know when you get there, just go!". So aside from any advice anyone here would like to give me, are there any particular things I should know, look over, or study for before starting school? I just wanna be good at what I do and know everything I can to help myself (and others) along the way. Thanks in advance!:)

There are many nursing students that do not really know what the role of a nurse truly is until they start clinicals. They go into nursing as a "calling" and have the vague idea of wanting to "help" people and be able to spend time chatting with their patients and fluffing their pillows.
