needs legal advise, how can i make my license valid in canada?

Published

I passed the nle last june 2006, i participated the retake last june 2007, but failed. I still have my license valid in the philippines. My concern is that I am about to submit my applications for assessment in CARNA, alberta, canada. but since i didnt pass the retake and dont have the courage for a second retake in dec.2007, the carna is asking for a certificate that i write the exam and pass (think this is a dole cert. they're asking), which i dont have.

how can i make my license valid in alberta? is that possible to revoke my license and take another nle here in the phil? what other options do i have?

it seems that i cannot practice nursing outside philippines. why is that canada is asking for that certification?

i thought that was only for cgfns or visa screen in the us?

thanks!

We can't give legal advice on this site as per terms of service however to meet Canadian requirements you need a license in the country you trained in.

yes i am licensed nurse in the philippines. but i failed the retake last june 2007 involving test 3 and 5. but i retained my license. Is it still possible to submit credentials for an assessment to carna?i worked for 1yr in a tertiary hospital in the philippines. what other choices do i have?

I am sure Canada is aware of the 2006 issues that occurred in the Philippines. It may have an impact on your application but really the only way to find out is contact the College of RN's and talk to them

I emailed carna, sad to say I'm not eligible for the assessment unless I have a certificate that i pass the exam. i dont know what should i do? dont know if its possible to revoke my present license and take another nursing exam? hope someone can help me the right thing to do.
