needle stick with insulin pen

my friend just got needles stick from an insulin pen, after injecting it to a patient. the patient is hep b negative and she immediately washed it after, she is currently reading this forum but she has no account yet. she needs some source of peace of mind:) thanks

Hopefully she spoke with her employer regarding this ASAP. She will need to have blood draws/testing. Luckily I think the risk is VERY minimal since insulin pens are sub q not IM.

she said that it went through the cap, i know she shouldn't have recapped it. sigh....

She reported this, wrote an incident report and went to Occ Health immediately correct?
