Needing more info on AF ICU internship....

Hi all,

I am an AD AF nurse and wanting more info on the ICU internship that the AF sends you to... I've heard you must have TOS 2yrs before you can go. However, I'm "overseas" in Alaska. Does that rule still apply to me? And also, if I go to this internship, which lasts one year I heard, do I incur a commitment to the AF after I'm done? Third question- is it only offered @ Wilford Hall? Thanks for any help! :)

The best source of information for this is your Chief Nurse. What you need is a copy of the latest Call for Candidates; it should answer most of your questions. I do know wtbcrna, who's on this board, got her CRNA through AFIT and she's also a good source of information. I was told a lot of that TOS stuff is waiverable though from prior service experience I know they can be sticklers about OCONUS folks because it costs so much to get you there.
