Hey guys! I'm an RN, BSN with 2 years SICU experience in a Level II Trauma center in Baton Rouge, LA.
I will eventually apply to CRNA school down the road, but from my research it seems many practicing CRNAs recommend that those entering the field as much time following/shadowing someone as possible.
Anybody wanting to take someone eager to learn under their wing - please contact me.
Thanks in advance

Do you work at the lake?
Yes I do
Looking through your posts it looks like you've got into the Lakes doctorate program - congrats! If you know of any working CRNAs in the area that are experienced but are also into teaching/shadowing, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks! I'm down in the cardiac ICU. I don't know any that well there, I moved from Alabama last year and I shadowed at a hospital back home. There are two people on your unit starting the program with me maybe ask them who they shadowed? You could always call AG and explain what you are trying to do and I'm sure they would set you up with someone.
I've got some former coworkers in the program too so I'll try to ask them if they kknow any who like to let nurses shadow with them!
Anyone*
Thank you - yeah unfortunately some of those nurses aren't the type to lend a helping hand, so to speak, when I asked about who they shadowed they were really cagey about it all.
That's really crappy of them I'm sorry...when are you looking to shadow by? Are you planning to apply this upcoming year? I'll see if I can't ask around for you. I would also suggest just asking a crna how you would go about it if you see one on your unit. They are all generally pretty nice.
Can ask*
