This is a great pocket companion! This book gives you state-of-the-art basic assessment information in a full-color, quick-reference format with over 100 clear illustrations. It has examination steps for each body system, normal versus abnormal findings, integrated life span and transcultural considerations, and more.

I used that set as well during my junior year assessment class and can't say enough good things about them. I love the clinical sized one!

There is also a pocket guide by Bates...called Clinical Assessment, I think? It's like between $40-$50. I don't personally own it, but I've flipped through it and it seems pretty detailed.
