need opinions please

Ok, I need your expert opinions please. Due to irresponsilbe behavior on my part a few years ago, I received a very low grade in a class (I had planned to withdraw from the class, but got the deadline mixed up). Anyway, I could retake the class in the second summer session this summer. It would change my cummulative GPA from a 3.71 to a 3.85. It is an easy class but pretty time consuming because it is a night course for six hours a week. On top of that class, I also have my capstone (I am graduating with my BSN in August) and work 32 hours a week. My question is, is it worth it to retake the class? Obviously, I would like to have the highest GPA possible, but I do you really think that the difference in a 3.7 and a 3.85 would affect my chances of getting into an anesthesia program? I am kind-of thinking that as long as I do well on the GRE and my interview, it won't matter either way. What do you guys think? BTW, my nursing GPA will be a 4.0 and my science GPA a 3.6. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Ami

Consider the wisdom of the old saying "you only get one chance to make a first impression"

After you have your BSN and you have submitted your applications to the various programs, your chance for the higher GPA making an impression is gone.

If you give it everything you've got to give now, you will never regret it, but if you let that class go and don't get into the program you wanted, you will be left with thinking that you had an option to do more and you will certainly regret it.
