Hello All,
I am working on a msn in education and soon to start a practicum. I live south of Tampa and am happy to travel some if need be. I am looking for a masters in nursing (any degree, does not have to be education) preceptor for a one course practicum. Any help is greatly appreciated!
thanks!!

Your school may have a list of preceptors/facilities that have been used in the past or that may already have current field site agreements with the school. Check with the school for any resources available. Mine provided a list of facilities with existed agreements once students were in the semester before the practicum.

there can be a delay as long as 6 weeks if the facility where your preceptor works does not have an affiliation agreement with your schoo. So, like Rose Queen said, start with that list of agreements. If they do not provide names, call the Educator of that facility. They should know who is qualified, etc.
Hello RoseQueen and ClassicDame,
Thanks for all the advice. It sure seems that it will take some time to do. I am still looking for help although I have one possibility in the works, you know how things can fall through. I am attending school online out of state and they do not seem to have a list for local preceptors (unless one is studying for NP). I contacted people I know well and of course their facilities are not starting any new affiliations. Thanks again! sunnyflanurse
