Hi all:
My NCLEX is scheduled for late Jan and I started Kaplan a week or so ago. I got a 64% on the Diagnostic test (QT1 73%, QT2 59%, QT3 66%) and spent time listening to all the class lectures. I really loved the lectures and the decision tree and thought it was perfect for me. Anyway, I was quite inspired after the lectures and thought I would for sure do better on the Readiness now with the new framework. So I took the Readiness and I used the new framework and I felt reasonable well about how I was doing. The result - 63%, a point lower that Diagnostic?!? So that looks like I have made zero progress. Actually, my chance of passing now is lower than before I started classes according to my score. Plus my "weak areas" are all over the place and differ with each test. There is no pattern, so I am not even sure what to focus on.
I am really discouraged by that. Is Readiness supposed to be more difficult that Diagnostic?
Also, did anyone us the Kaplan Course book for content review? Was it good/enough?
Thank you for listening and your thoughts.

Kaplan failed me. While others may tell you it worked for them, it didn't for me. Decision tree is not applicable to all questions. Many are knowledge based questions. you cannot eliminate, you cannot use ABC, priority or eliminate always or NEVER. It just does not work. You have to have your content. The best way is refresh using Saunders or Hurst, or anything you have, like ATI or school notes. Do questions from LaCharity as they will help you greatly on your NCLEX. Good luck!
I know my scores are in the OK range, but what bugs and discourages me is that my scores are not improving. I listened to all the classes. I am applying decision tree. I religiously review ALL rationales after each exam and, as Kaplan suggested, look up things that I missed or didn;t know right there. And yet I am in that 63-64 space and not moving. Am I not supposed to be improving when I do all the steps...

I loved Kaplan, but I didn't personally use the decision tree. I used qbanks/rationales and content videos.
