Need to interview RNs who belong to a professional organization.

Published

Hi Fellow nurses, I am completing my RN-BSN and I can either attend a chapter meeting or interview members of the organization. We have a very busy OR and I have not really had a chance to chat with my coworkers who belong to AORN. Therefore, I was wondering if I could utilize my fellow all nurse members. I just need your response to the following questions! Thanks much! Cyndi

  • NAME AND POSITION (STAFF RN, MANAGER, CEO, EDUCATOR, CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST, NURSE PRACTITIONER, ETC.) OF THE NURSE. (Be sure to ask permission to use information from your interviewee.)
  • NAME AND MISSION OR PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION (1 point)
  • BARRIERS AND FACILITATORS THE NURSE PERCEIVES TO INVOLVEMENT IN PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS (3 points)
  • ACTIVITIES, COMMITTEES, POSITIONS THE NURSE HAS HELD/BEEN INVOLVED IN WITH THE ORGANIZATION (1 point)

Specializes in ER, progressive care.

What about e-mailing your local chapter and explaining your situation? The purpose of these assignments is to go out there and network in the community, not just here on AN ;) Good luck!

Moved to Nursing Student Assistance Forum :)
