Hello all,
I have an interview Thursday and would like some advice. I have 10 years acute/critical care experience. I have an interview for an occupational health nurse. I HATE interviewing...my mind goes blank especially when I get asked questions about me...how did you...how do you...etc. Any tips you have for killing an interview will be MUCH APPRECIATED!!!
TIA!

Congrats on getting an interview! I seem to always ace interviews and I think it's because I simply like to talk to people. Practice your active listening skills when listening to what the interviewer is saying, smile, make good eye contact, take deep breaths. and address everyone if you have a panel interview. You have lots of experience so you should be fine with whatever question is thrown your way. Best of luck to you!

Consider Googling "nursing interview questions" for lots of sites with helpful lists of commonly asked questions and good tips on how to answer. I recently saw another post somewhere here on AN about watching youtube videos on this topic too, so that also might be worth looking into. Having an idea of some preprepared answers to questions may help. Good luck!
