Need to be inspired!

Does anyone have any inspiring stories of gaining acceptance to nursing school despite setbacks? I have been going through a rollercoaster of emotions the last couple years and need to feel like there is hope. I am currently pursuing the ABSN route, but am set back by my low cumulative GPA (below 3.0). I have a decent last 60 credits GPA, and have a good prereq GPA, but am struggling to find schools that I can just apply to. I know that if I was just given the opportunity, I would excel, I just need someone to give me a chance! Has anyone had a similar experience, but eventually make it?

2.8 Undergrad GPA, and I got a C in A&P2. I still got into a BSN program. There is hope!

Started my pre-reqs, got into a car accident, Shattered my right ankle and right wrist. Wouldn't have been to bad if I wasn't on a student visa from Canada in the U.S. spent 4 months no weight bearing while continuing with online classes. Went back to school with my ankle still feeling like it was broken in 15 places, come to find out I would either need a replacement or a fusion. I finished my pre-reqs while no weight bearing for another 4 months, I will also need 1 more surgery during this summer. Although pre-reqs took me 1 year and a half, I spent 8 months of it not walking, and 4 months of it with one hand. I maintained a 3.9 GPA and start the Nursing program in the fall.

I wasn't 100% sure at first why I wanted to be a nurse, but I'm clearly sure now!
