i need some info on angelina college np

:confused:i start at angelina college in fall of this year. i am so confused about the prerequisites. do you start taking them in the fall or in the summer? it sounds like you start in the summer sem.I but that doesnt make any sense. HELP!:confused:

If you intend to get in the RN program this Fall, then you should start this Summer, (or have already started in the Spring).

Get EVERYTHING out of the way that you can before you actually get into that program. By that I mean even the courses that are not listed as prereqs but that you would still have to take as part of the degree plan such as A&P 2, Microbiology, Speech, Art Appreciation, and so on. This will make it much easier on you in the RN program and it will make you look better when you apply.

You also need to have started your immunizations and such too. If you haven't already been to an information session, go to one, they will explain everything to you there. To sign up for one, just go to the Health Careers II building and ask the secretary for the dates.

If this will be your 1st semester in college, then you will most likely not get into the program until NEXT fall as it takes some time to take all the prereqs, (some courses not available in the summer etc)

Also to clarify further: It doesn't matter what semester you take the prereqs, just as long as you have them completed before you start the nursing program.

Hey outlawnurse I'm starting my pre reqs this fall! Can I apply next spring for the lvn program and if I don't get accepted continue with my pre reqs to apply to the rn program?! when exactly can u apply for the rn? I'd like to complete pre reqs before starting sounds easier but do they only accept applications once a year like the lvn program?
