Hi, there are some questions popping up to me while filling in my applicaton form for visascreen certificate. I do need your kind help.
Question NO.1: I need to mark which type of u.s. occupational visa, H-1B,H-1C,212®,TN, or Green Card? Acutally, I know little about these visas. In my case, I plan to take NCLEX at the end of this year and want to go to the States to work as an RN, that's all. I do want Green Card, but I wonder if I can apply it directly or I need to apply for a working visa before applying green card? What do you think?
Question No.2: I did apply CGFNS credentials verification service for new york state and was informed that my education has been approved by N.Y. I did provide a lot of documents for that, including my diplomas, academic records, etc. and a word -for-word english translation of each of these documents.I wonder if I have to ask my school to send those documents which have already been obtained by CGFNS and N.Y. to ICHP again?
Question No.3: I don't have a senior secondary school education that is separate from my 4-year-professional nursing education, what I can do with this? In my case, I abtained a college diploma in law after graduating from nursing school. However,I did ask my law school to send the academic record for my law degree, which is waived by CGFNS later.I wonder if I have to ask my law school to send them again for my visascreen certificate? I am very confused about this.
Questin No.4: I did pass TOEFL with a score 237(computer based), my writing section is 4.0, I wonder if I need to take TWE? Can TOEFL cover TWE?
I am very tired with the paper work!! wish it can be done soon!!

There is no such thing as a working visa without applying for the green card first. You want to put that you will be applying for permanent residency.
Same documents can be used for the Visa Screen Certiifcate that were used for NY. Just check off at the top to use the NY documents.
Senior secondary school is the same as high school. Anyhting that was waived by CGFNS will continue to be waived by Visa Screen.
TOEL, TWE, and TSE are required to meet the English language proficiency.
TWE is the writing section that was on your TOEFL exam, you will still need to do the TSE, which is the Test of Spoken English.
Hope that this helps.....................
Hi, Suaznne, THANKS A LOT!! You are always the one to help me out of dark!
I can't figure out the "TOP" you mentioned so that I could find out what documents I can use from N.Y. for my visasreen certificate. Do you think I still have to prepare and send a "request for academic records" form to my nursing school? I did it before for CVS.
Another thing is I don't have a High School diploma neither. My high school education is combined with my nursing education. This is very common in China. So, I want to know where I should put my nursing education in, pre-professional education or professional education?? If I put it in Professional Education, may I leave "post-secondary NOn-professional programs" blank?
Or, I need to put it in both pre-professional education and professional education? Have you known someone like me before?
Thanks again! I highly appreciate your reply!
Top of the page means just that, at the top of it, there is a little box that you can check off to use the same documents for the Visa Screen Certificate. It is not an abbreviation.
List your nursing school under the professional school, then just put in the space of secondary schol that it was combines with your nursing school.

Hi, Suzanne, thanks a lot for the help!
I still have some questions about the education evaluation part of my application. What does "professional title abtained" means? In my case, I graduated from nursing school and then worked as a nurse in the hospital. Since at that time when I graduated, China didn't have RN, LPN,...something like that. So what I need to write down in the space of "professional title abtained"? As you might know, I also got my law diploma, but I am not a lawyer. I used to be a employe in a company after getting my law degree, so, what can I do with "professional title abtained" for this?
I am required to write down the name of diploma in its original language in the form, does it mean I need to write down the name of diploma in Chinese??
Another question is I used to join "The Adult and Community Education Department of Monroe #1 BOCEC" for studying English in Rochester N.Y. for 1.5 years, I obtained a Certificate of Rocognition for successful completion of English as a Second Language Level Four there. So do you think I need to add this program to my applicaion form? If so, where I can put it?
Warm regards,
The professional degree that you have is RN, just put that.
You write the exact name of the degree that is on your nursing diploma but in English. No one there will be able to read Chinese.
The English training doesn't need to be included, they know that you had some type of English training to be able to pass the English exams.
You can list the law degree, you still earned that degree.
