Jan 23, 201214 yr I took a state board and had very easy skills i did all but i forget record urine output on an Intake and Output (I&O) on a sheet ...so does it consider that i fail ???who had similar experience please respond .....thanks
Jan 27, 201214 yr Well, it depends. When I took my CNA course, our instructor gave us a pamphlet with each and every skill we had to learn, including the steps to do each skill. Some steps were in bold print, which meant you had to do it or else it was automatic fail no matter what.It doesn't seem to me that that would fail you but I'm not completely sure. I'm sorry! I'm sure you did fine, though.
Jan 28, 201214 yr I took a state board and had very easy skills i did all but i forget record urine output on an Intake and Output (I&O) on a sheet ...so does it consider that i fail ???who had similar experience please respond .....thanksThis also was my first skill. I forgot to log as I had set the sheet aside. When all through I said "I'm done." The nurse stopped me and said: "look around the room and tell me if you are done." I saw the log sheet and said "I should have written it down." She said "Are you correcting yourself?" I said "Yes, I should have written down the amount of urine." She said: "Then go do it." I wrote 300cc's and then said "I'm done."I did not know if that failed me, so I was weak in the knees when she said "Go on to your second skill." I passed the Boards. It might be possible that a tougher nurse would fail you, but it was my understanding that if you failed one skill you failed period. . . maybe you passed since you had to keep going? Good luck!
Jan 28, 201214 yr Author thanks for reply .... when i complete intake and output skill i said " I am done " and than in a second realize that i didn't put on paper and i asked her "Can i make correction ?|" she said " No, you said you done " So guess what because of that i failed only that part and didn't pass which is suck !!!
