You need to begin by reading up on birth control. Look for nursing journals or perhaps your texts say something. You need information and you need to process the information.

What would you as the nurse teach the patient?

side effects? think about what you can and can't do while on birth control? Consider what the patient must do if she must take medications that interfere with the birth control?

What are your outcomes?

and what do you mean how to format this?

brochure? pamphlet?

I bet yah grntea or esme will show up later and ask you question anyway... might as well give them some info...

hope I was of some help... I'm just a nursing student.

SoH, got it in one. Gold star. :flwrhrts:

OP, let us know what you know already, what you know about preparing for patient teaching, and what you think you might do. Then we'd be happy to help you.
