Ok, deep breath and you CAN do this!! Get a tutor. If you can not afford a tutor, see if you can either form a study group (even through social media) or go to your local high school, ask if there's student tutors available. Sometimes for community service/scholarships advanced placement or honor society students will tutor in any number of subject matters. Adult ed centers are also a good thing. Even a GED prep course is a good all around review. A high school or college guidance counselor can help direct you. And a local community college could have a TEAS prep course. And where your English is not ideal, doesn't mean you can fix this, and to take virtual high school English may be to your benefit. Not everyone reads with the intent of being the grammar police!

For those of us (myself included) that had "other interests" (ie for me: boys, finding myself, being creative and dramatic)in high school, often we did not always apply ourselves to academic pursuits. But I had a cool set of pom-poms and a letter jacket. It came back to bite me in the butt, big time. And back in the day (and I dunno who does this now, but it happens) I only had to take 2 years of math....and got out of it in 10th grade....and "general science" for a year and that was it. I filled my junior and senior year with a bunch of nonsense. Realized that in order to be a nurse, I had to buck up and get tutored. Torture tutored, as I had not one bit of Algebra experience, and nothing else beyond the "general" courses. College prep my butt, but I did get an award in future homemakers of America!! HAHA!!

Seriously, take some extra help. It can make a world of difference!!

Best wishes!

The official ATI book was a lifesaver for me. I did some extra work online for the English section.

Your 78.7% is actually a pretty decent score.

What makes you say you have to have an 83% or above?

How many times are you allowed to take the TEAS? (My school was only twice in two years).

As far as crushing the English portion goes, I agree with jadelpn above. Get a tutor if you can. English is something that's not easy to learn overnight like basic math is. If you can't get a tutor, get the ATI study manual (if you haven't already). It has tons of things in there for the English part.

Good luck!
