are you using the remediation guide that HESI provides you? If it was me, I would compare each of the three guides to find common weak points and strong points. I would then start my remediation, Day 1: Study area 1, Day 2: Study area 2, review 1, Day3: priority 3 and review 2, test 1(saunders), Day 4: review 3, test 2, and so on.It's all about repetition.

Explaining things out loud was a new concept for me, but it makes sense and works to help remember (not memorize).

Know your basic labs: Na, K, Ca, Mg, CL, PO, BUN, Creatinine. When to use PT, INR, or PTT what are norms and therapeutic. As well as relationships s/a: increased Ca = decreased PO. Be familiar with Erikson's developemental stages especially pediatric milestones. Prioritize using: ABCs, Maslow's Hierarchy, APIE sequence, least invasive intervention first.

Review test taking strategies and MASTER THEM, look in your NCLEX studyguide they all say pretty much the same thing.

And break your studying up into short sessions

Another thing is to read and understand what the question is asking, there are distrations in the question just as there are in the answers.

And finally, NO STUDYING THE DAY BEFORE THE TEST!!!

Relax and be confident, you know the material you passed your classes you just need to keep it together on test day.

One more tidbit ... use the scratch paper and write down the things you know you will need or things that are hard for you to remember before starting the test ... lab values, drugs, specific interventions, disease processes, Maternity- L&D positions, milestones, problems and interventions.

My advise for you is do as many practice questions as possible. Again go back to your content and know all the disease process. Also if you can re-read your fundamental which actually help me to pass after taking Hesi 3x. I promise you, it will work if you can understand the pathophysiology. Also make sure you practice question in Test:typing mode rather than review mode. That way you will be able to retain information and happy after taking every practise test. If you can lay your hands on Exam cram, Davis's, saunders,Straight A's etc. But thebest part of it is to understand each disease process. I passed after 3 attempt on friday!! You can do it!! Relax your mind and focus.:grad: Wish you all the BEST!!

Thank you all for your wonderful ideas. So far I am starting with the case studies that I need to do, and then at night I do my questions.
