I just moved to Ohio Columbus. There is a hospital on every corner here but no jobs for new graduates LPN's.
I do have some CNA experience.
Does any one live in Columbus area and can advice me on how to find a job, please.

Check with the State of Ohio. They are usually always hiring LPNs at the various prisons. Great pay and benefits. I've worked for them for two years now.

You will most likely have to work in LTC(nursing homes) at least initially untill you get experience. I belive Macintosh healthcare services are hiring at several of their locations in central ohio. Best bet to find a job at a nursing home is to call them or go to their websites and look. A lot of them do not post to job boards.
I know OSU hospital might have some positions open in the doctors offices but with being a new grad you might have issues. Maybe a Diaylisis company might have a position. If your really desprate for work try the red cross, although you wont be doing much nurse related work. Mainly blood draws etc.
And remember If a plce says they want 1 or 2 years experience apply anyways. They might not be able to get the experience they want and have to go with someone with less. I have be hired several times that way.
Thank you for your advice it was very helpful. I did drive to all the nursing homes around and no success. I applied for some dialysis jobs. We will see how it goes.
Please, if anyone hears any thing about openings for LPN's please let me know.
Thank you.

ALOHA! You should move to Hawaii. haha I'm an RN but I can't get a job because they only have LPN positions available. Now I have to get an LPN license just to get my foot in the door. I wish you the best of luck getting a job.

Try a nursing home or assisted living facility. Most will hire a new graduate LPN. Bon Ing is hiring in the Columbus area. Scioto Pointe is another facility that is looking for LPN's.
