I agree. I would start making rounds with nurse managers on units you like and see what happens. That's how I ended up precepting where I wanted, and now I have a job offer there for when I'm licensed. It pays to be proactive. It shows initiative, that's you're not afraid to stand up for yourself (and in turn, your patients), and that you're driven. Yes, it's scary, but if you don't, the answer will always be no.

I'm a registered nurse who is currently enrolled in BSN program. We are to start our mentorship next month but I've trouble finding mentors. Can anyone suggest mentors whom I can follow in Kaiser Martinez, CA or John Muir Concord or Walnut Creek, CA. The mentor should have minimum of 5 year experience and with either BSN/MSN. Please help as I have to start this by next month
. Would really appreciate it
. Thanks.
