Hi Texas nurses! I'm a FL RN moving to the Dallas area in about 6 weeks or so. I've gotten my TX nursing license and I've started looking into jobs. I applied online for a position at the Medical Center of Plano in Outpatient Surgery. I filled I completed the online application process last night after hours. This morning at 8 am I received a rejection email. It seemed like an auto response as it was not signed and seems like it was way too fast for anyone to have actually read my application. I am definitely qualified for the job as I've been working in outpatient surgery for the last 5 or so years. Anyway, my question is does anyone work at Medical Center of Plano and know who the contact in the Outpatient Surgery department would be? I would like to try to get a real person see my resume rather than an auto response via email.
THANKS!
Virginia
Yea, I spoke to HR too. That seems to be one of the standard lines. If you would have dug further, you might have found that no, the position had not been filled. Im not a conspiracy theorist, just a realist. I have worked in the HR dept once upon a time. This test is hurting a lot of people out there.
Well, I have just been black balled at a hospital for my test results. Here is a copy of my email,(distinguishing information removed).
Thank you for your interest and the investment of time you made in applying for the Registered Nurse position at OUR HOSPITAL.
The selection of a successful candidate to fill each position is very difficult. I want you to know that after careful consideration of your application, you have not been selected for this position. This decision is being based upon the results of the Gallup interview.
We wish you success in your future endeavors.
The questions given are vague and obscure, and how is asking me what I like to do in my free time has anything to do with what kind of nurse/employee I am. I know the hospitals that use this tool will tell you that they have good luck with it, BUT how many excellent nurses are they shutting out?
The email says "after careful consideration" and "based upon the results of the Gallup interview", well how much careful consideration is given if they are going by the Gallup interview and they are able to respond within the same working day.
I would like to see a class action suit against Gallup by all of us who have been denied an opportunity to interview for a job by their Nurseinsight.
