Hi,

I am Bachelors in Pharmacy graduate from India. I am already in USA. I am interested in the Accelerated MSN programs. I have given GRE, TOEFL.

Does anyone know of any admission consulting service which can help me with selecting the universities, preparing the Statement of Purpose?

Any other admission consulting services that help interntional students with medical and allied health programs will also do.

Thanks

Specializes in PeriOp, ICU, PICU, NICU.

Are you looking for an online course?

What state are you in? Maybe someone in your area can suggest something.

Good luck

There is no real reason to use one of those services unless you really want to. You can find out about many of the programs just by doing your own research. Be aware that the number of programs that are direct entry MSN are quite limited, and may have longer lists to get into.

Suzanne,

I recently appeared for my GRE and my GRE score was 930 (Math - 570 & verbal - 360).

1. With this score can I get into direct entry MSN programs.

I want someones help to make me understand the education process as I am from India.

Suzzanne just a idea if you can help me I would love to pay for your services? Or can you recommend me any good ones?

Thanks

I do not charge for my services..................but again, you do not need the service............You sound like you can easily do things on your own. Just post your questions and we can answer them for you.

What area of nursing do you wish to specialize in, or are you interested in the MSN essentially for getting your BSN and the opportunity to work as an RN in the US? You will have completed most of the pre-reqs for many of the programs, but still need to check out the specifics as to each program's requirements. Each one will have diiferent items that are required, and they may not all be the same.

Any idea on where you would like to attend school, or are you open to the entire US? Where are you living now? Do you wish to stay near there?

Suzzane, let me answer your questions

1. I wish to study MSN with Nurse Practitioner specialization.

2. I am interested in a masters degree like MSN as I have already done my BS in Pharmacy in India.

3.Ideally I would like to attend school in Seattle ( I live in Seattle) but in worst case scenarions I wouldnt mind moving to any part of USA as long as i can get admit into Direct Entry\ Accelerated MSN program.

I checked 2 schools offering the Direct Entry\ Accelerated MSN program near me - Seattle University & Pacific Lutheran Univ. but both have stringent requirements like GRE score of min 500 in verbal and math each (my score is 570 in math & 360 in verbal)

I am looking for univ which offer Direct Entry \ Accelerated MSN program where i can get into with my gre score and GPA of above 3.0?

Nurse Practitioner has many areas of specialization, and not all schools offer them. Just as an example, there is family practice, Neonatal, adult, geriatrics, ob-gy, cnm.

You are really going to need that 500 in the verbal section. There are very few programs of this type in the US, so trying to get in is going to be much harder for you. And also higher than a 3.0. You do not say exactly what your GPA is, but to get into a nursing program here now, they are looking at 3.5 and higher for many programs. You will probably have a much better chance of getting into a direct-entry BSN program, or accelereated program. But also be aware that tuition is going to be high. If it is a public university, you are going to paying out of state tuition in most cases, it will depend on which visa that you currently are on.

Please do some more research as to what you want specifically. There is much more out there for you to research and know about.

Thanks Suzzanne,

After giving long thought to your advice of reappearing for GRE to get better score in GRE. I have decided to reapper for GRE. I will bug you again and hopefully will score more this time :)

Thx
