I know you're trying to improve your resume and your chances......but I wanted to do that same thing before I had a job, and was advised by several of my clinical instructors not to. They advised on-the-job experience before getting ACLS in particular. But that doesn't solve your problem, does it? If you wait until you're hired, the hospital pays for your training. So if money is an issue, consider that. I'm not so sure that having those certifications on your resume will make any difference. Most managers don't expect new grads to have them under their belt yet. Just a thought.

Hello, everyone;
I am a new grad RN and while waiting to get a job. I thought it will be a good idea to have ACLS, PALS certification. It is so hard to choose the first time. Does anybody have any idea which ones would be good. Thanks.
