I have searched for and applied to many scholarships, only receiving a fraction of help. I also signed up for a partnership with a hospital after graduation to work for a year, but they only provided $8000 and my tuition is $60,000!! I am in my last semester of school and don't know where else to turn for any additional resources. Can anyone please provide any information? I would greatly appreciate it. THANKS!!

You pay $60k for a semester of nursing??? Holy crap and I though my school was expensive at $10k a semester.
Have you tried applying for private loans such as Salle Mae?? If you need more information, give the financial office at your school a try, they should direct you to more resouces. Best of luck!!
Thanks for your reply. I apologize if I wasn't clear. No, I don't pay $60,000 per semester, that is the total amount for my degree. I have many loans already, I'm just not sure I'll ever be able to repay them. Being that I didn't start nursing school until my mid-20's, I already had a mortgage to pay. So, I had to take out a substantial amount of loans and now my credit is suffering dearly. Each semester at my school is about $15,000, way more than I think it's worth, but that's a whole other topic! Thanks for your help!

This posting was from a long time ago, but I thought you might want to know that there are tons of government agencies that could assist you in paying back some of your student loans. Some hospitals will also assist you when you sign on with them. Go to usajobs.gov. There you can find tons of openings for nurses around the US and some of the openings from what I understand, come with a commitment to serve, yet they pay back a certain amount of your loans. I would look into it. I'm not 100% positive that that's how it works, but I would call them if I were you (or anyone else reading this who needs assistance). That's probably the route that I'm going to take when I finally get out of school. Good luck!!
