  1. Thank you for that, I thought it seemed a little odd that I knew some of the questions and haven't even been to nursing school yet. Thanks a lot for your comments. If only it were that easy haha.
  2. Yeah, I know you can get your license taken away if you post questions that were on the test and all that jazz; those questions that I was referring to just seemed a little elementary to me to be on the NCLEX. Thanks for all your replies. I'm not in nursing school yet but I have been accepted to a college that has a nursing program so I just wanted to check things out. Thanks again.
  3. I did a google search for nclex question examples and came up with a website called testprepreview.com. When I went to the site and clicked on the NCLEX button it came up with a list of about 75 questions that it thinks would be similar to NCLEX questions. Can someone look at these and tell me if you think that these are anything like what you encountered on you test? It would be helpful. Thank you very much
  4. Hey thanks a ton, I should be hearing back from them any day now Let's hope I get in, if I don't I'll be going to Atlantic cape community college. So you're going to nursing school as well? How do you like OCC?
  5. Hi there everyone! I'm a transfer student from NC that just moved here for my husbands job. I'm taking some classes at Atlantic cape this summer but was wondering how tough it is to get into Stockton college in Pomona, NJ.(I applied there last week, let's hope I find out ) Does anybody have any information on this college, or their nursing program? There doesn't seem to be any information on here about this college. Also, I've taken courses at other colleges...will all of them apply to the nursing curriculum? If anyone has any information whatsoever...it would help. Thank you so much .
  6. I agree with what you are saying about support staff and you not being able to do everything. I am a CNA right now and have been for a year and a half. I'm hoping to get accepted to nursing school next year. One CNA that I work with is very lazy and doesn't care a thing about her job or the patients that she cares for. She doesn't help nurses out hardly ever and has been called out on it many times. I'm one step away from talking to the DON about her. I don't know how to make it any clearer to her that she is there for the patients safety, health, and comfort; not just for a pay check. I can imagine what the nurses in my facility have to deal with with her; having to page her over head and in rooms just to bring her our of hiding. I feel for you guys, really I do. Just know that there are some of us out here that are still here for the patient and not just for ourselves.
  7. Hi, I'm a military wife and will be moving to florida soon and getting into school in florida hopefully pretty quickly. I was just wondering...do Florida colleges and universities take north carolina college credit hours? Also, what is the normal wait while trying to get into a nursing program there? I know they are probably all different, but any info would be great. Also, is there such a thing as an accelerated BSN program (in FL) with enough credits? I've got about 3 years of pre-req's. (Never could find out what I wanted to do! now I know.) Thanks everyone for their help on this matter!!
  8. The Military is a wonderful option for young men and women. I am a military wife and think that it's great. If you can withstand the politics, you're good. My husband is in the coast guard and loves it. They train for health services, and before we got married I was actually going to join also (for the career oportunity, education money, and the adventure!!!) . I decided not to because we would never see each other. If you're one that likes to travel, you could train for the health services and go on a cutter and explore... how exciting! If you want to be in the health industry and the military, go ahead! You only have one life, you never want to look back on it and say what you wish you had done. : ) (Plus you can retire in 20 years with 50% of your pay and I believe that you come out of that coast guards health services training in cilvilian life as a physicians assistant...check with a recruiter on that though.)
