Some of the NY hospital seems to hire only NY educated nurses (like nypresbyterian), is it truth?

What hospitals in Manhattan hired foreign nurses (I did my nursing school in France)? I really would like to stay away from agencies!!

What is the best way to get a contact (and a job!!!!) ( fax, job fair, register online on hospital websites)?

Thank you for your answer chuck1234. I had worked few months in an ICU and that 's really what I want to do. I've applied to nyp because they definetly have a bunch of job in this area but I understood they are not really fast to answer your application.

Wsmith16? i applied at Mount SINAI online and when you are applying for a position they ask you a bunch of question like do you have a BSN? Do you have 2-3years experience and if you answer no you are geetting an automatic reply that says that you don't meet the requirements (1 year experience don"t seem to be enough)

Still looking, anyone heard about a job fair soon?

Hang in there...right now, there are a lot of new grads out there. However, if you are not picky, I am sure at least one hospital will consider you.
