I was just wondering, why are some people applying to more then 1 Ivy Tech campus? Wouldnt that be a heck of a drive for some people if they lived in Jeffersonville and got into the Indy campus?

Also, if I took the TEAS test and didnt do very well in the math portion because honestly, I suck at math, and that is the absolute truth, but anyway, if I didnt do very well and didnt get into the RN program, does that automatically put me in to the LPN program, or is that something I would have to apply for too?

I have posted this same question on several threads but no one is answering....I dont know who else to ask....please someone help me...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

People are applying to multiple college because some have long wait lists.

If you fail the TEAS test, depending on your institution, you'll probably have to remediate and take more classes in the sections you did poorly on and retest before you can start the program.

LPN programs are entirely separate entities and require their own application processes.

I read through your program selection process and it sounds like you apply for the ASN program and the top students are chosen based on points earned for grades and TEAS scores. Once the students are chosen for the ASN program, those same applications are used to choose the students for the LPN program. However, they only pick the tops students from those applications. So if 200 people apply and 50 people get admitted to the ASN program and only 50 seats are also available for the LPN program, there will be 100 people that are not accepted to either program.

If you scored poorly in the math section of the TEAS (and I have no idea what that involves since that was not a requirement for my college) you might do better if you take an algebra class or go over a study guide (if you've already taken algebra recently and did poorly) for several weeks to months before taking the TEAS again. You might discover that you need a more remedial level of math in order to get to the level on the TEAS. It's not a bad thing to have another 6 months to a year to get in the extra classes and tutoring that you might need.
