the great nurse already lives inside of you!
absolutely right! :)
although, (i can't deny!) i would accept a spot in john hopkins' nursing program in a military second. (financially i just can't do it though ) it would be a personal academic achievement/goal accomplished kwim?
anyway!
go to the school you feel best about all around.

I had a 4.0 GPA for pre-reqs and @ 93 on the TEAS…still didn’t get in. The counselor told me to work harder in getting a higher score on the TEAS. So, I researched other schools. I decided to attend a technical college that offered an ADN program. It is an all inclusive program, meaning I had to take A&P, Micro, and Chemistry again. My other grades did not count as part of my admissions into the program. I would research all of the schools near you through you state’s board of nursing. That is how I found this program. In fact, I had no idea they even offered an RN program!
If you prefer to stay at the community college, give it a shot. All they can say to you is no.

Hey Guys!
I just wanted to pose a quick question. As a fourth year undergraduate at the Johns Hopkins University, I am in the middle of applying to various Accelerated BSN programs. Currently, my list includes:
Drexel ACE
University of Pennsylvania
Columbia University (ETP)
NYU
Pace University
Georgetown
Loyola University - Chicago
Johns Hopkins School of Nursing
I already submitted my UPenn application (which was due today). And the recommendation letters are already done for the rest of the schools. HOWEVER, I am currently debating on whether or not I should apply Early Decision to the Hopkins SON? The positive side is that I'd find out in mid December (which is a relief). BUT I can only apply to the BSN program (not the combined) right now because I am getting married at the end of May and my finance will be applying to medical schools (for Fall 2010) which may include a move in the summer of 2010. SO unless he ends up going to Hopkins med (though not a first choice) we would have to move - then I'll apply to master's programs. OR I can apply to combined program in the NYC area as there are a lot of great medical schools in the area.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Apply early decision to Hopkins? I may have a great chance of getting in because I am already a pretty competitive Hopkins undergraduate. OR just wait it out and see if I get into other schools? Just curious. I thought Columbia or NYU would be my top choice, but I am not sure anymore.
Looking forward to hearing from you all! :) Thanks!:redpinkhe
