need advice if i should take new job

has it ever happened to u that your spouse does not understand why u wanna take another job over the one you have now? the new job does have some disadvantages but i see them as short term whereas the opportunities are wayyy more with the new job, whether within that new job's organization or when applying somewhere else in the future... i don't want to be selfish and put my career first if that would mean my relationship would suffer.. but even though i know it's a better choice in the long run for us both.. i don't want our relationship to take a hit from this..
