I am taking A&PI in the spring and need to decide which classes I can handle with it.
These are the remaining coreqs I need to take before I start the nursing program in the fall:
Developmental Psychology
Principles of Sociology
English Comp II
Do you think it would be doable to take all four classes together?
Thank you for any advice!

If you aren't working, or just working part-time...it's completely doable. I would sign up for that schedule.

I agree with BSNtobe2009; if you do not have to work I think that is a very do-able schedule.

I think it is doable as well. I personally took A&PI with Sociology, and Human Growth, then took Eng II over the summer. But, it was my first semester back after 10 years and I had two small kiddos at home and wanted to get a feel for things first. It worked out well for all of us. In hindsight, I think I could have added the Eng to it and been just fine but oh well!
Thanks for the responses! Although I don't work I am a STHM to three small children, and have a very supportive husband. I took Chemistry, Algebra, and English comp this semester and it was a breeze.
From what I can tell, A&P will be very demanding and I would really like to take all four classes together. I am back and forth because I am not sure what to expect work load wise for psychology and sociology.
Thanks!
If you've taken intro psych then I would expect sociology and developmental psych to have a similar workload. I didn't take sociology, but my human growth & development class primarily consisted of reading, writing a few journal entries, one paper, and studying for tests. I didn't find it difficult at all.

I took A&PI this semester, and this was my schedule:
A&P I
Sociology
History Since 1865
American Government
Walking
I have an A in them all, I try to do at least 2 of my pre nursing reqs.

Four classes in one semester is about the norm, so I think it's a completely managable schedule. Plus, you only have one science class in there - good idea!

Sounds like a perfect schedule. If you've already had intro or any other psych classes, sociology is usually pretty easy. Read the chapters and take good notes in class, and you'll be fine. Developmental is about the same. The first few chapters of almost every psych class are a review of intro, just try to keep up on the reading and go to class every day. I have A&P I with Devel. this semester, I work 30 hours/wk, and I'm getting As in both. Sociology and English should take less than 30 hours/wk, so you should be just fine. Good luck!

I attend a community college and the max is usually 3 classes/qtr. Anyway I took intermediate algebra, developmental psych, and social problems in one quarter and I did fine! I got A's in them all, and I spent the majority of my time on the math b/c I am waaaay sloooow when it comes to math. Personally I liked sociology when I took it so it made the quarter go more smoothly. I think your schedule will be fine. To me the humanities classes have always been pretty easy, it's the sciences that can be killer. Good luck!
