Need Advice Please

Published

Hello all, I am hoping somebody can give some advice.

My question is, I am almost completed with Masters in Nursing for Leadership and Management through Western Governors University. I want to continue to FNP as my ultimate goal. I am trying to find a school that will honor time already having my masters, in hopes that would shorten the length of time to complete the post. Certificate for nurse practitioner.

I am having a hard time finding a school like that. It seems like they are all BSN-FNP, and you get your MSN while completing the program.

Can anyone give me advice on schools please. I would appreciate it.

Thank you

There are many programs that offer it. Just search for post-masters FNP certificate.

OP:

Your inquiry makes sense and I wish I could offer you something more substantive than just an opinion and observation because I think your hard work and scholarship deserve to be recognized. The problem is that as I understand it once you get past a certain level of accumulating credits and degrees other schools still want their payday and are reluctant to recognize more than a few courses, at most, towards another, in your case, master's degree. I know you can't be the first to be in this situation so maybe others with valid life experiences in this area can chime in past the usual I, me, mine drivel. Good luck with this.
