Hey folks,
I need advice on how to prepare for passing the NCLEX the first time. I know this is an odd request and others have probably, most likely, made similar post.
The difference in my request is I need advice on how to prepare for the NCLEX exam and pass it the first time. I already have a job offer lined up pending my NCLEX results, which I may not be able to take until August (my state has an overwhelming amount of new nurse graduates).
So any tips / advice on passing the first time around would be appreciated.
Resources I am using:
The school I attend uses Kaplan for the RN review classes (full semester) and Review course (first week after graduation).
I am also using NCLEX mastery app, starting with the Fundamentals section and working my way up.
I do pretty well on the app (87% out of 130 questions), but not so well on the Kaplan test (last Qbank I took on psych integrity was 64%).
Health promotion Qbank: 56%
Physiological Integrity: 60%
Psychological Integrity: 64%
Trainer 1: 57%
Trainer 2: 61%
Trainer 3: 74%
Still have to take some more qbanks and trainers for our semester class.
The Kaplan trainers just make me feel inadequate sometimes.
Thanks for your help.
Larry.
