NEED ADVICE! International student nurse

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hey everyone!

I am currently a student in Florida International University enrolled in the Nursing Program. I am on a F1 visa and I plan on obtaining my OPT next year. However I am doing my research and I am seeing that hospitals are not willing to sponsor visas for new grad nurses. Although I have time I am start to freak out a little bit since I really want to stay in the US after all of that sacrifice it took to come here. If you have any similar personal experiences or general advice it would be greatly appreciated. :'(

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

Have you checked out F1 Visa New Grad Program for International Nurses - O' Grady Peyton has been around 40+yrs, known for helping Internally educated nurses (IEN) jobs in the U.S..

One way to stay is to continue studies in graduate nursing education . Note that graduate students must take a full course of study.

Best wishes in getting started in your nursing career in the U.S.
