Need advice/ information positive drug screen

If a nurse failed a drug screen for THC, what would be the usual time period for the nursing board to contact you or suspend your liscence? Serious allegations were made against me by an anonymous caller and I was forced to take a urine drug screen. The allegations proved to be false (I was accused of diverting drugs) but coincidentally I had smoked pot a coup;e of weeks prior and came up positive for THC. I was terminated and informed that they would be reporting this to the Florida nursing board. This has been over 3 months ago and I have not heard anything from the board. Did it maybe slip through the cracks? How long does it usually take for the board to take action/ investigate? I really need some advice, stuck between a rock and a hard place!!!!

I was unable to work while waiting for IPN to contact me . I was out 5 months before it was all over. My story is very different. Wish you the best it is a long , difficult road for sure.

You should look into self reporting. I don't know how FL works so probably call and ask a lawyer. I think in FL you self report to the IPN. Depending on the state, there is usually a better outcome when you do this ASAP so don't wait but ask a lawyer first or at least someone from FL who is familiar. Did your company mention IPN or just the BON? If they are reporting you anyway i don't see any harm in self reporting but yeah some states will go a lot easier on you when you do it.
