Near passing Standard...what does this mean??

Published

so this is my second time i took the nclex pn and failed again. on my performance sheet everything was near passing standard but one. Does anyone know what near passing standard mean? would that mean i was close to passing or not? My mind seems so boogled up with thoughts not knowing where to start again....I thought the second time around would be better...first time i stopped at 88 this time around 161. Now i feel as if i have nclex phobia afraid to take the test again...feel so pressured by family most especially my dad...i know im not the only one who failed, but alot is on plate right now. Jobless, thinking whether or not i should find a part time job or full time job or not work at all because with this economy and my husband the only one working were not barely making it. I feel so down, hopeless, frustrated and confused!!! HELP!!! :crying2: i need pointers on how to get back on the boat, what books should i study from, where to begin and how......ive ordered the book from Linda LaCharity would that help me out for the nclex? also i have the Kaplan book...Saunders book and my review books from a NCLEX review seminar....argh!!! i just feel like pulling my hairs out!!!!!

It simply means you did not answer enough questions correctly to meet the standard required for passing. Don't get hung up on this. When you plan your study for your next attempt, start working as if you had never taken the test before. You want to make certain that you cover everything. Good luck.

Slow down and BREATHE when you're studying and when you're taking the test. If you feel yourself getting overwhelmed taking the test take a little time out and take a few deep breaths and tell yourself "I can do this!!" Good Luck to you!!!!!!
