Hi everyone I am new to this site so hopefully I'm doing this right... After reading some familiar stories I decided to go on here and maybe get some advice from all who have been in my situation before and hopefully can provide some honest feedback / advice... I took my nclex June 5,14 and did the pvt ... Unfortunately I was sent to the cc. Page and knew that I did not pass ... After sulking in my hopelessness ( for a week and a half) I shook it off and am ready to step back in the game... First time around I did the hurst review .. I did all the content ... Got okay scores on all six tests .... With that said I have to admit I probably should have re read the notes more ( I read it front to back 2x) but still after siting for the board I felt like there were a lot of content that was not covered in hurst. This time I am wondering what I should do... I am considering of taking kaplan and using the Maryann hogan comp. review book. OR should I stick with hurst and take kaplan along with it ? One of the main reasons why I am also writing this is Bc I am reading mixed reviews that kaplan is pointless.. It works... Yada yada yada so before i spend 500$ I wanna make sure it's worth it...Please help any advice/ feedback is greatly appreciated. And thanks for even taking the time to read this novel :)

Kaplan (as I remember) was all about taking the test - feel, format, question style. I don't think it's probably the best for content.
Don't you get a review of where you did on each section of the nclex?
Are you referring to the CPR on back of the nclex results ? If so then yes I did..... Did u like kaplan ?

I loved Kaplan. The course also comes with a hard Cover content book to be used if necessary. I took my boards on June 14 and test shut off at 75. I utilized the entire site and believe me it helped tremendously. Some of the questions I received ringed a bell. I felt confident going into the exam and came out feeling I passed before I even received results. It's worth the money in my opinion.

I feel like if Hurst didn't work for you, Kaplan might not be a quick fix either. What were you lacking in?? I did Hurst and was successful, but I also did about 1500 questions from other sources since I felt like six 125 question quizzes were not enough for me. I think the extra questions combined with Hurst made all the difference for me.
I'm def. not looking for a quick fix but looking for a review that will be beneficial for me ..... I am lacking in critical thinking ... Content wise I'm not a total genius but I feel like Ive got a pretty good foundation. I did like hurst review but at the same time when it took my board I felt like the content on my nclex was not covered in the review. Which is why I am going to use another book to brush up on all content and not just some.
