Hello everyone!

I'm starting the 2nd semester of my school's ADN program and I'm feeling both excited and anxious! I'm excited because this semester is maternity and psych (more excited about maternity than psych but still excited about learning new things). My classes start Jan 22nd so I have a week to enjoy the rest of break. I'm nervous though because I heard stories about how about 6 students from last year's program failed 2nd semester. I also work full time so I always feel like I don't study as much as I should....any tips on how to survive second semester or how to better balance full time school and full time work?

Thanks!

Know when to say enough. I worked 40 hours a week my first two semesters, and I had to throw in the towel after that. I needed the money but I couldn't do full time work AND my classes after that. Try to stay organized, try to read ahead (which is rich, coming from me). If nothing else, do your assignments well ahead of time. Keeping ahead on assignments gives you room to breathe. And good luck! OB is not my thing AT ALL, but for some reason, it's one of the areas I did best in, lol.

Thank you so much for the great advice, Racer15!

I'm so ready to start this semester already! I will focus on my studies more and do my very best!
