NCSBN REVIEW

Published

I am preparing for NCLEX_RN examination. I am planning to take ncsbn review. can anyone tell me how does it work? What does the review contain........content or strategies or only practice questions? The review contains study plans like 3 wks,5 wks and 8 wks. And which study plan works? Please need help...........

There is a post about Kaplan vs NSCBN. I heard about course from my friend. I would not rely on it as the only prep course you can take. Saunders and Kaplan are more useful.

I'm taking the NCSBN 8 week review. It's a combination of content, interactive quizzes, postests, and you will find a huge section of practice questions. The questions are tough! There is a 150 question pre-test that will help as far as identifying your weaknesses. As far as study plan? They're all the same... just broken down into how much time you have to put into it. Example: For the 8 week plan they suggest you study like 10 hours per week. A few of the lessons are quite long and can take 4-5 hours or multiple days. Not to wory... you can just shut it down and pick up where you left off later. I've known others who have taken this review and passed NCLEX first time around. My preceptor was one of them. Also what I like about this review is... These are the people who write the exam... And they have updated it to the new NCLEX that was released last March so the content is updated. Good luck!!

I too did the review for the pn though but i did the 3 week course. I spent 4-5 hrs a day everyday literally on it & finished it to. Yes its time consuming but to me it was worth it. I did that on top of exam cram & saunder's & passed mine 2 weeks ago. Just make sure if u do decide to do it, make sure u always save so u wont have to start all back over in the section u was previously on.

thanks guys, I am preparing with saunders, i had taken hurst live review. I am following kaplan, lippincots, and exam cram. Does ncsbn course is like hurst online classes? or juz reading material?

I did Saunders and Hurst for content. Read Kaplan's Strategy book. Answer Saunders CD and used NSCBN 3 week course for questions only!!!! I must say it's good for practice questions only. Passed my NCLEX RN . I did it for a month of practice questions.
