NCSBN Online review

I know this subject has been mentioned on here oonce or twice before but I am looking for some pre and post NCLEX feedback in relation to the NCSBN online review.

Has anyone taken this course? Were you having as much trouble as I am with the practice test? I have a really hard time getting over a 74%(I have a way easy time with Saunders and Lipencott REVIEW EXAMS) Has anyone take this review course and been impressed or let down?

I am having mixed feelings about it and I am not sure if I should continue to focus on it or not. It is very discouraging but at the same time I want to do well and probably should get use to harder question formats.....

Thanks guys.....

I used the Saunders book and CD for a study guide while I was in school for both my LPN and RN I did well in school....I used the NCSBN before my LPN-NCLEX and I like you found it very difficult to do good however when I took my LPN NCLEX many of the question were "tight" like the NCSBN and I passed.I did not do it this year for my RN and now I may regret that as I await results.

I really dont have an answer for you but since you paid for it keep using it....just put aside the thought of the scores and use it as a study tool.

I also use NCSBN, Sandra and Lippcot. The problem of NCSBN is that there had no full explanation for each answer. Sandra does very good job of explanation. But there are different types of question btw them. NCSBN does have quite some very "tricky" questions, I mean more critical thinking. And some people mention that the real test is close to the "style" of NCSBN. I did every questions 2-3 times.

After I read Kaplan 2005-2006 RN-NCLEX review, I feel better to do the questions on NCSBN.

The questions on Lippot are more close to the test in school, but not much "critical thinking" type of questions.

It's not bad.....

I think Kaplan (question bank) is more useful to me. KAPLAN give me more rationales for the questions..not just the right answer but also the wrong one...online video streams and online questions session is helpful...

The questions are hard like NCSBN. I like the fact I can suspend the test at anytime when I am tired.... I don't know how to do that on NCSBN, though.

As far as the real NCLEX, I don't know.... I may let you know when I pass the test.....
