Hi there I took the course in dec as remediation for not passing my HESI. I found the questions to be good but I can't say for sure since I take my NCLEX TOMORROW! It gives a bank of questions although I did not get to finish all of it. I did not care for the "content" portion...I have been using prentice hall. :)
Currently I am subscribed to the online review of NCSBN and i can say that it has been very helpful!! I give it two thumbs up! i have taken the NCLEX PN twice and failed both of them. First attempt I used Exam Cram. Second attempt I used Saunders. This time around I decided to purchase the Learning Extension due to great reviews. The post test on the Learning Extension are similiar to the real live nclex test. However, you will not get the same exact questions on the boards. they will probably be reworded here and there. Unless its just your lucky day..but what I love about the online review with NCSBN is you can ask questions with instructors who will give you good suggestions and is always there to lend a helping hand. Currently I am communicating with an instructor and she has been very helpful. I am getting the concept much better now than before and learning how to attempt the questions...it is worth the money in my opinion!
I signed up for the 3 week course 3 weeks before my NCLEX (passed by the way) and I thought the questions were some of the best and most challenging out there. (I did ONLY the questions, by the way...I did not read the outlines at all). The questions really make you think, and the rationales are excellent. It's hard to compare anything to the NCLEX (once you take it, you'll understand why), but I think that NCSBN is great preparation because like I said, most of the questions really force you to think through the nursing process...which is what a lot of the NCLEX questions do.
I highly recommend it.
Thanks everyone for all of the information. It is actually for my husband who failed his first try. He did ATI in school and had high scores, underestimated the NCLEX and didn't do any prep for it. He's hoping to get his ATT and retake before April. He works full-time and is spending his free time studying, so I've been on here looking for tips from everyone. :) We decided to give NCSBN a try. He scored "above standard" and "near standard" in every area but one on the NCLEX, so hopefully he'll get it this time. He's also reading the Kaplan book, doing NCLEX Made Incredibly Easy, and we bought the Exam Cram practice questions. I made flash cards for his weak areas and we're going through those at night.
Congrats to those who've passed and for those prepping...I wish you well!! :)

Has anyone taken this online review? How similar in difficulty are the questions in comparison to the NCLEX?
