  1. UPDATE: So just as I thought I PASSED! I found out this morning! It's on the BON. I would just like to say that I think we doubt the trick cause it is not "offical." Until the BON says we are it "isn't real." It did help relieve my anxiety but I wasn't for sure till this morning! CONGRATS TO THOSE OF YOU WHO GET THE "GOOD POP UP!!!"
  2. Ya just look at the thread about the "pearson vue trick" it tells you what to do.
  3. Think positive although I have been feeling just like you today! Though I did to the trick and got the good pop up. Makes me feel better...you try it yet?
  4. Took mine this morning and did the trick and got the good pop up so I hope it's right! Let ya know tomorrow. Goodluck to the rest of you! :heartbeat
  5. Well I thought I would let all of you know that I took the exam this morning at 8 and sat through all 265 questions! In my small class only one other person got all of the questions but he passed. I was soooo devistated. I thought I was going to be the only one in my cohort of 18 that didn't pass! (last person takes theirs in the morning) Well I just did the trick and GOT THE GOOD POP UP :redbeathe:redbeathe:redbeathe:redbeathe:D The test was unreal! I got everything you could think of for ?'s. So I will report back tomorrow to update. In AZ the results show up QUICK thank goodness!
  6. Thank you sooo much for that! I am sooooo anxious! I am waiting to make a call to schedule a massage for later today! The insanity! I don't think it matters how much you prepare no matter what you can't help but feel unprepared! Ahhh well good luck on studying!
  7. Hi there I took the course in dec as remediation for not passing my HESI. I found the questions to be good but I can't say for sure since I take my NCLEX TOMORROW! It gives a bank of questions although I did not get to finish all of it. I did not care for the "content" portion...I have been using prentice hall. :)
  8. Hi there so I thought I might kinda fill you in on picking a specialty! I am currently in my 3rd semester (doing L&D as a matter a fact) of 4 for my RN. Basically you do your clinicals wherever the school assisgns you...So you will get a taste of almost everything that nurses do. It usually consists mostly of med/surg which I am beginning to see that many students dont like and plan on doing a specialty (peds, icu, etc.) You could try to get a job or something at a women's center if you think that is what you want to do? In school you will probably figure out if it is really for you or not! Goodluck!
  9. You are unable to retake it? I know I will have to pass it in order to take the nclex as well...Our program pays for the first test and then if we fail we just have to pay for it on our own....so I find it odd you only get one shot and quite unfair.
  10. Good morning fellow students! I hope everyone is having a great summer! I on the other hand start my 3rd semester today! Peds here I come! I just tell myself only 7 months till graduation! I hope everyone is doing great! Keep motivated
  11. 1st sem. Med surg 16 wks 2nd sem. Med surg cont. 16 wks (along with a rotation in the OR, Cath lab, and GI lab) 3rd sem. (I start this May 28) 4 wks peds, 4 wks OB, and 4 wks pysch 4th sem. cont. med surg/rounds in ICU I think too and preceptor for 5 wks!
  12. I will be taking my F/E and cardio test on thursday and am nervous/stressed! It's good to hear the ppl are getting B's!!!!
  13. I worry as well. I am in an ADN program that the hospital I work at pays for. Every year they take up to 30 students and the group that just finished this past december is feeling the affects of the economy! They will not be able to place all of the students. Therefore they are doing interviews and selecting about half of the new grads. The others have the option of teching until a position becomes available or just simply not being hired and luckily not have to payback one penny of their education....the downfall is trying to find a position around here! I know here in tucson at least right now hospitals arent really hiring much. I just hope when I am done this december things will be improving! Good luck to those who are having issues with getting a job!
  14. Hi there I just finished my 1st sem of an ADN program and can understand how stressful it is along with money! I am a CNA and was working full time but switched to part time and am just hanging on by a thread as far as money goes! As far as school, I took fundamentals/clinicals, pharm, and drug calc. In our program 1st and 4th sem are the hardest. I got 2 B's and an A and honestly it wasnt as hard as evryone made it out to be. Don't get me wrong every test I stressed out like crazy but if you stay motivated and study a little everyday you can do it! Only one person failed our little group and it was b/c she didn't study. Just keep up with the material and you will do fine! Goodluck!
  15. My first exam was yesterday...80 questions...and when I finished I def. was not feeling great about it! There were MANY questions that had two good answers! Although I felt better once the other students told me they felt the same way not to mention a few questions they hadn't even covered in class...I knew them b/c I am a PCT so I didn't think it was totally fair...ANYWAYS I got an 82%!!! I might have even gotten an 85%...b/c we had disputes on 2 questions so she is going to look into them. Well I am just super excited b/c in our program once we have two tests below a 70%...were out! It seems that most of the class hit the 70's range on this first test! One down, a million to go! Good luck to everybody else!
