yes it is. it gives you a variety of questions. use it and use other books also. do alot of practice questions, it will make you prepared. goodluck
hello there patrickwee, thanks for yout response.. have you already took your exam? mine will be on Sept. 13..
yup i already took mine about two weeks ago :) i used 3500 and it was extremely helpful coz you really can't just rely on one source for questions. i did about 300-400 questions a day the duration of my review. but during the last 3 days before my exam.. just did about 100 questions a day and just scanned on some review notes.. goodluck and you'll do great!
by the way, congratulations!:) that's awfully true.. i'm using kaplan book also, and had a tons of questions in their qbank... including the qtrainers.. what was the actual exam looks like? i mean, are they similar to the type of questions in nclex3500? or much harder?
i don't know since i didn't use the kaplan qbank :) most of them were one liners, not like some questions from other books which were very long questions. in terms of difficulty, you can't really say because the difficulty varies. some were very easy while some were very difficult. but it doesn't really matter. just be prepared and focus. :)

Yes, it is both very practical and helpful if you review 3,500 questions. I myself used the Kaplan book/review, and did all their qbank questions, tests and studied old Med-Surg/Pharmacology notes from nursing school. I did about 4,000 to 4,500 questions (200-300 a day). Passed in 75 questions June '13. Study your tail off, because the passing standard has gone up and if you don't believe me that it is harder, go to the NCSBN website and view the passing rates of the month of Apr-Jun 2013. It was 83% for those months and 90% for Jan-Mar 2013 before the passing standard was implemented. Be prepared for prioritization and lab value questions. Good luck!
