NclexRN-CA official result how?? help please!

Published

Hi fellow brave nursing students

How do I find the official results about nclex rn in Cali? I've been reading about the pop up trick but since it's not reliable I'd rather save my sanity so I've been looking for a legit way to find out if I pass or fail... Graduated in December. Friend took it feb 28 and found out her result today on breeze license verification already. I'm willing to wait it out over the weekend but I just need a solid way to find out my result comes Monday. Do I go on breeze and type my name in? Do I call any automated license phone number? Or do I wait 2 weeks to see if the CPR get sent home to tell me of the bad news... Any pointers anyone?

Took it today and shut off at 240 questions with half hour to spare out of the 6 hours! Fried my brain real good :scrying: Or to put it in the words of Leslie Knope.. "Everything hurts and I'm dying" Got about 20 SATA or so. SO MUCH delegations! SO MUCH priority patient! SO MUCH infection control! Once it's past the 75 mark I started feeling so lost. As in I didnt just eliminate 2 options.. I eliminated all FOUR!

Anyone in the same boat or feel the same way please reach out with some good vibes. Thanks all!

Create an account on breeze. After 48 hours post nclex exam, you will know you have passed if when you log in your license info is posted on the top right hand corner of the page. It'll say you are a registered nurse and also state your license number. If this info does not appear after 48 hours then two things: you may have to wait for the 2 - 4 weeks, in which case you can continually check your breeze account, or you will hear from brn ca if you did not pass.

For California, the only way you know for sure that you passed is to check BreEZe for license numbers. California does NOT participate in the Quick Results program that other states do. As you have found out, sometimes people find out quickly that they've passed. Myself and a classmate of mine also found out quicky, in our case it was about 36 hours after we took the exam. Other classmates of mine had to wait 2-3 weeks before they found out for certain.

Because you don't want to risk paying for another attempt at the NCLEX, your only option is, quite literally, to wait. You will either find your license numbers in BreEZe or you'll get your Candidate Performance Report within a few weeks. If you have paid for the IP, you may find out earlier as you would be able to look yourself up and see the status of your IP. If everything looks good on the paperwork side of things, they'll expire your IP and generate an RN license number at the same time. One other benefit of the IP is that they do all the background stuff they'd normally do for an RN license (because they're giving you a temporary license to work) with that one missing piece: a "pass" result on the NCLEX. If you haven't got an IP, then you're just stuck with waiting without any way to really know quickly-ish that you've got an RN license.
